We are delighted to invite you to participate in our volunteer program on the conditions set out in this agreement. The Club is very appreciative of the work of its volunteers.
Your participation is purely voluntary, and you may end your participation at any time. Similarly, the Club may end your participation at any time for any reason.
During your participation in the program you will not be our employee, contractor or agent and you will not receive any remuneration.
If you participate in our program you must comply with the conditions set out below.
You will perform the duties and tasks allocated to you honestly and to the best of your abilities.
You will use your best endeavours to promote and enhance the Club’s interests and viability.
You will not intentionally do anything that is or may be harmful to the Club.
You will take reasonable care for your own health and safety, and take reasonable care to ensure you don’t affect the health and safety of others.
You will report to the Club promptly all information and explanations as required in connection with matters relating to your participation in the program or the business of the Club.
You will comply with all lawful and reasonable directions given to you by the Club in relation to your participation in the program, and co-operate with any reasonable policy or procedure provide by the Club.
You will hold a current and valid Working with Children’s Check, provide the Club with a copy, and participate in any induction and training as required in policy and procedures relevant to safeguarding children & young people. You will take action to protect children and young people from all forms of abuse, bullying and exploitation by reporting any concerns or evidence regarding the safety of children and young people in the organisation.
In the course of the program, you may become privy to confidential information of the Club (Confidential Information), whether in written, computerised or oral form including information concerning:
the services provided or to be provided by the Club to any of its players, employees, members, sponsors, customers or suppliers;
details in relation to sponsors or potential sponsors;
the methods, techniques, procedures, strategies, training and plans of the Club including those regarding the operation of the football, marketing, finance and business activities of the Club;
personal information regarding Club’s players, employees and office holders; and
any information which is expressly identified as confidential, or which you should otherwise reasonably consider to be confidential.
You must not at any time, either directly or indirectly, disclose or communicate to any person any Confidential Information that may come to your knowledge during or in the course of the program, unless expressly authorised by the Club or required by law.
You must not speak to or contact any branch of the media regarding any matter affecting the Club or any of its player, employees or office holders without the prior approval of the Chief Executive Officer or the nominated Media Manager.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release and discharge the Club from, and indemnify the Club against, all present and future claims by you arising from your participation in the program and any acts or omissions of the Club or its officers, employees and agents.
This letter constitutes the entire agreement between you and the Club regarding the matters set out in it and supersedes any prior representations, understandings or arrangements between the parties, whether verbal or in writing.
The laws applicable in Victoria govern your participation in the program and this agreement. The parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and any courts competent to hear appeals from those courts.
